I need to know what car battery I have to get for my Citreon Xantia. I live on an army post in Germany and the only car place in my area is trying to rip me off. This is a used car and the previous owner didn't give me the manual. Also the battery in the car now is in spanish so I can't go by what it says. Any help would be much appreciated.|||there is a website that has all the Citroen models listed with the corrrect battery. It can be found at:
http://www.tayna.co.uk/fitments/0/98/Cit鈥?/a>|||em, well there should be a number eg:16A and they can't put that into spanish so just say i want (the number) battery please and then they'll send it to you.|||Go to the PX and tell them what you need, Or take a picture of it and the name of your car and engine size that will help the person and you will get a new battery. Hope this helps.
wish I was there with you love Germany|||a couple of options.
1. go to the aafes auto parts place. Most bases have them. I know vogleweh has one, and Mainz Kastel has one. I am sure that others have them as well.
2. Outside of the back gate at Ramstein is a military auto recycler. You might be able to find a battery for $5-10.
In my experience parts for european cars is way over rated.
