How can I tell if my car battery is maintence free?

The battery in my car is about two years old. If I wanted to add water I would have to pry off the two top sections with a screw driver. Does this mean my battery is maintenance free?|||if it was maintenance free there wouldn't be anything on the top to pry off it would be completely sealed|||Maintence free batteries dont have caps or plugs on the top of them....|||Not necessarily, as the two top lugs are more than likely a cover for 3 plugs under each cap, but normally if a battery starts using a lot of water, it is getting near the end of its life....
