Car battery...?

If car is seldom used, how to keep the battery strong?

The car is kept outside, not in a garage in N.C. Only driven about 4 miles a week normally. Honda 1988 less than 90K.Car battery...?
Start it every so often which automatically charges the battery. Don't let it just sit there.
I agree with the one who said to start and run it periodically. If this is impossible due to going out of town for extended periods of time, I would suggest a solar-powered trickle charger. They sit on your dashboard in the sun, and plug into your cigarette lighter. One place to find them is jcwhitney.com.Car battery...?
I bought a small bolt-on 110v. trickle charger. Costs about 20 but it was a Clearance item. I use one on my 3/4t. PU. Only plug in a day or so before you intend to drive it. It is a real good idea to follow the theory of starting and let her idle for 5-10 min. as Ol boy said. The fishing community makes a solar charger for trolling motors but IDK on the universal application of this device. Deep cycle batteries are a different breed than autos. Never hurts to ask someone though. The worst they could do is say no. Nothing lost!!!!
..if battery is ok no problembut 4 miles is not enough to warm it up...u will distroy the exaust system first and engine next...drive 20 to 30 minuits when u start it.Car battery...?
You can keep it unconnected or keep it on a charger.
