You shouldn't need to do that with a new battery.
But...to answer your question, 30 minutes of idling would be enough to charge a dead battery.
they come fully charged when you buy a new battery.Car battery?
Batterys are charged when you buy them, the altenator dose not put a charge on a battery it only replenishes what the starter takes away and runs all your electrical componets in the car if you need a deep charge on a battery you need to disconnect it and put it on a battery charger
ALTERNATORS DON'T CHARGE BATTERIES THEY MAINTAIN ELECTRICAL PRESSURE IN THE CONNECTED SYSTEM. BATTERY CHARGING IS A BYPRODUCT OF ITS WORK. SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION 2 HOURS AT 1000 RPM OR OVERNIGHT AT IDLECar battery?
Drive it for 5 minutes then park it.
