Car battery?!?!?!........?

how do i no if i need a new car battery of if it just needs to be charged. it might be because i havent started it and its cold outCar battery?!?!?!........?
If its that cold it could just need a charge , the best way to find out is to get it started ( with a jump if needed ) and take it to Checker or some other auto parts store and they can check and see if it is holding a charge. In the cold you should try and start it every day or two and if possible drive it for a while to warm it up , if not let it idle . If you have a garage you shouldn't really be having problems but as I said take it to the auto parts store and have them check it. Be prepared to buy a new battery while you are there . I live in Phoenix so we don't have the cold issue but we do have the heat issue in the summer. No matter how long the battery is projected to last the best we can hope for here is about 3 years , make sure to try and take it where the last one was bought and they might be able to pro-rate the new one to save a few bucks'

Good Luck
Check carge 12.6 volts if low carge let set for a while hour or so til surface carge disapates the load test if it pass load test batery is good. if it's farily new clean batery and posts, check for anything thats drawing power in car and un hook if car sets much. proble cause is dirty baterys terminals and moisture alowing surface discargeCar battery?!?!?!........?
you are right, if you don't start your car in a while the battery can drain, you can always check your battery at auto zone, they do free battery charging and next time when you plan on not driving your car or even if you are having your car worked on always take off the battery cables. another way to tell if you need your battery replaced is if you jump your battery and drive it for a bit but when you stop your car and turn it off your car wont start. that will most likely tell you that your life to your battery is gone and it is time to replace it. try to also remember when you get another battery to remember the date you bought it.so if this problem happens again you will know if you have had the battery to long.
Take it to your local auto parts store. They will check it out for you for free.

Good luck

:)Car battery?!?!?!........?
sometimes when u leave ur radio on for too long ur battery dies...in that chase u can recharge it.but if the battery is about 3-5 years old or more.you might as well buy a new one.

usually the battery will say how long its good for
The easiest way to tell is to take a voltmeter and test the battery post to post to make sure you have a good amount of volts, usually 12.6. Also check from post to battery case for any voltage, you should see none. If you do not have a voltmeter then take your car to a shop and they can perform a simple test to see if it needs to be charged or replaced.
