Car battery??????????????

when u buy a brand new car battery from the auto parts store, can u just put it in and start the car or do u have to charge it first????Car battery??????????????
No Charge, Install, Test and Drive. Motion from driving will "Excite" (Mix) the Battery Electrolytes and a "Good Alternator" will Complete the Charging process. New Batteries have a "Good Charge" when installed but do need to be "Topped Off".

NOTE; It will help but is not necessary to keep the Radio a/c and Light of for 15 minutes while driving.
Nope no need to charge just put it in and go, if it dies in a few days that mean your alternator is badCar battery??????????????
most new battery,s are sealed......no longer an option for specific gravity reading.....test with a volt meter......should read 12 to 12.5 volt,s......if so....install %26amp; start.....check voltage again after starting....it should read between 12.6 %26amp; 14.5....this show,s your alternator is working....if no increase..check charging system....if voltage is lower than 12 volt,s before installation.....slow charge battery untill voltage is sufficent.........if electrolite is accesable....gravity reading should be 1.275 specific gravity.
you should be able to just put it in the car and go,they are supposed to be fully charged,if you bought one that wasn't id return it,there's a reason it lost its charge, its either an old one or may have a defect in it,i have bought them like this before, and most of the time they turned out to be bad ones, good luck with it.Car battery??????????????
To my recollecton, unless you got it from checker or autozone, you should be able to put it in and start the car providing the battery is the cause of the no start.
Most of the time, you can just put them in and use them without doing anything.

If it'll make you feel better, just ask someone who knows where you're buying it from....Not a big deal, I've bought many.

Just put it in.
Most of the batterys have about 80% rate of charge in them from the store.Drop and drive you will be fine.
