I need to use a car central locking mechanism for something other than a car and require a power source smaller than a car battery. Any ideas?Can anyone recommend a smaller power source than a car battery to use central locking?
go to a battery store. You can get a rechargeable 12 volt gel pak or buy what they call an APS. Automatic Power Supply. Its used for computers and keeps them operating qwhen the power goes out. There are some small 12v motorcycle batteries, but be careful, mayne motorcycle batteries you find will be 6v, ensure you know what you are getting.
