Car battery?

Why is it that a car battery will go flat if the radio is used too long when the motor is off, or if the lights are accidentally left on all night and the motor is off, yet it won't if the car is running?Car battery?
Every car comes fitted with an automatic charger which starts charging the battery when the engine is on...now if the engine is not running, the battery will not get charged and the radio or lights will use up the battery power, making it go flat. Just like we use our cell phones and they need to be charged. So, running engine charges up the battery continously.Car battery?
when ur car is running ur alternator is charging ur batteryCar battery?
because when the engine is running the alternator will recharge that battery, and supply the power to every thing else.
when the engine isnt running, the alternator isnt keeping the battery charged. when your sitting with the radio on or the lights are left on, it drains the battery but when its running and your using this stuff, the alternator is puttin the juice back into your battery.
